Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Where does Axari live?

In Slack. Your Twin works in your DMs, in any thread via the /axari-twin command, and from the right-click message menu. The web app (app.axari.ai) is for setup: integrations, automations, activity, and billing. Microsoft Teams support is next.

My Slack admin has to approve the app. What do I send them?

Our Admin guide covers exactly what Axari requests at install, how permissions work per user, and how to approve it in about a minute. You can also enter your admin’s email on the approval screen and we’ll send it for you. We’ll email you the moment it’s approved.

How does Axari access my data?

Each person connects their own tools individually. Depending on the tool, that’s either OAuth (with the scopes shown at connection, for tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Jira) or an API key or token you generate in the tool and paste into Axari. Either way, your Twin acts only with your access; it never inherits anyone else’s. Keys and tokens are stored encrypted and never logged. You can view and revoke every connection anytime from Settings, or from the tool itself.

Can my admin or my team see what my Twin does?

No. Your Twin’s conversations, memory, and activity log are visible to you alone. Workspace admins see aggregate administration data (members, plan, credits), never the content of your Twin’s work. Axari staff access customer environments only through audited support processes.

Does the Twin take actions without me?

Consequential actions, such as sending an external message, posting to a channel, or writing to a connected system, wait for your explicit approval. Every action, approved or not, is recorded in the activity log in the web app.

Is my data shared across tenants?

No. Each organization runs in a dedicated, isolated environment. Nothing crosses tenant boundaries.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your data is never used to train any model.

Can I bring my own LLM API key?

Yes. Set up your own provider key from Settings → Billing. Agent work runs through your provider account and is billed by them; Axari continues to run limited platform calls (such as message classification) on its own keys. BYOK contracts are billed at a reduced credit rate; contact us for details.

How do credits work?

Usage is metered in credits from an organization-level pool. New organizations start with 50,000 free credits, valid for 30 days. Plan credits reset monthly; top-up credits never expire. Each teammate who joins adds 10,000 credits to the pool (first five members). You can top up, enable auto top-up, or change plans anytime in Billing.

Can I add other users to my workspace?

Yes. Invite teammates from the web app; anyone can invite, and each person sets up their own Twin. Roles are Admin and Member; admins manage membership, roles, and organization settings.

What if the app gets uninstalled from our Slack?

Everything pauses and nothing is lost. Twins, memory, integrations, and history are retained for 30 days; reinstalling restores them exactly. After 30 days, data is deleted and every connected-tool authorization is revoked. We email you before that happens.

Security & trust

Built for security leaders

Axari is built by security practitioners for security practitioners.

  • SOC 2

SOC 2 Type I certified. Our report is available on request under NDA.

  • Encryption

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

  • Tenant isolation

Each organization runs in a dedicated environment. No data crosses between customers.

  • Per-user, scoped access

Every integration is authorized by the individual user, via OAuth or an API key you control, and revocable anytime.

  • Human approval

Consequential actions execute only after your approval; every action is on the record.

  • Private by design

A Twin’s work and memory are visible only to its owner.

  • No training on your data

    Ever.

  • BYOK

Bring your own model provider key; your keys are stored encrypted, never logged, and used only for your inference.
